About March for Men

What makes March for Men an UNMISSABLE event:
  • So much more than a walk in the park. Enjoy music and entertainment on the route and celebrate in style when you cross the finish line as we raise vital awareness for the 1 in 8 men who will face prostate cancer.

  • Your impact: By joining, you're helping fund lifesaving research into better tests and treatments to diagnose men sooner and save lives.

  • Community spirit: March alongside thousands as we unite to share stories, celebrate loved ones, and walk together towards a better future for men. You’ll also meet our Specialist Nurses and hear from our researchers.

This is a step-free event and open to all.

Event accessibility

March for Men is an event everyone can get involved in. You can choose a distance that suits you – 2.5, 5 or 10km on the day. Each distance will be signposted clearly.

The route will be fully accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs as it is a fully paved path. Please note that our March for Men event village will be on a grassy area.

For more details about accessibility, please get in touch with our team at marchformen@prostatecanceruk.org who’ll be happy to support you.

Karen’s story

“March for Men gave me a chance to reflect on my dad’s life and help future generations.”

Karen's dad, Egbert, devastatingly died of prostate cancer in 2014, just four years after he was diagnosed. After losing Egbert, Karen and her family are determined to make sure no other families have to go through what they have.

Karen has taken part in almost every March for Men in London to pay tribute to her dad. She’s even spoken on stage before the march started to inspire fellow supporters ahead of the starting line.

“The walk gave me a chance to reflect on my dad’s life and I recommend giving yourself time to think about your loved ones and do something to help save men’s lives. Since my dad passed away, I’m determined to keep raising awareness of prostate cancer, especially in the Black community, as Black men have a higher risk.

“I hope that the money raised from March for Men will help fund new research into a screening programme so that we can help future generations.”
